Salary: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 + Bonus

Location: Northeast San Antonio, TX

About the Company

Join a small yet dynamic company in the oil and gas industry known for its business casual work environment and collaborative culture. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Senior Accountant, this role is essential to ensuring accurate and timely month-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle general ledger accounting, including journal entries with proper documentation.
• Perform month-end close procedures for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets.
• Manage the fixed asset module and record depreciation.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations.
• Process vendor invoices weekly and maintain an accurate vendor database, including setup, updates, and correspondence.
• Handle year-end 1099 reporting.
• Act as the primary backup for Accounts Payable processing, including check writing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in OGSYS or NetSuite software (strongly preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP.
