We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our fast-paced finance team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with best practices and regulatory standards. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to our company's financial health while advancing your career in a vibrant and growing industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Preparing and analyzing financial records, statements, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
2. Performing account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.
3. Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
4. Collaborating with the finance team to streamline accounting procedures and improve operational efficiency.
5. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
6. Supporting tax audits and tax returns preparation.
7. Ensuring compliance with GAAP principles.
8. Liaising with internal and external auditors as required.
9. Participating in special projects and performing ad hoc financial analysis as required.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Staff Accountant position, you will need:
1. Preferred but not required: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An AA degree in accounting. Or greater experience
2. A minimum of two years of experience in an accounting role
3. Proficient knowledge of account reconciliation and experience with financial reporting.
4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify discrepancies and propose solutions.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, to meet tight deadlines.
