Staff Accountant at ConnectPoint Search Group

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant for an organization located in the Sacramento area! In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and updating the general ledger, conducting variance analysis, preparing account reconciliations, and overseeing Accounts receivable and cash receipt functions. Core duties and responsibilities include:

• Resolve out-of-balance issues between the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
• Support AR, AP, and other departments in resolving issues.
• Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and internal controls.
• Conduct financial analysis for trends and cost-saving opportunities.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank statements and AR.
• Manage the AR process, overseeing cash receipts and credit card processing.
• Assist with internal audits and prepare necessary documentation.
• Mentor and lead junior accounting staff.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
• 3+ years of senior-level accounting experience with solid knowledge of accounting principles.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Proven experience General Ledger maintenance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Quick to learn new technologies and concepts.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is from $85K to $95K, depending on experience.
