Your Opportunity: Staff Accountant

This is a newly created role as part of the organization’s strategic plan.

Staff Accountant – Your Job Duties:

You will work as part of the small accounting department, alongside the Director of Finance, Accounting Manager, and Accounts Payable Specialist.

You Will:

• Perform daily accounts receivable and cash receipts reconciliations with complex, high volume credit card transactions across several credit card / payment platforms
• Perform account reconciliations and prepare journal entries
• Own the fixed asset tracking schedule
• Assist the contracts manager with contract billing invoices
• Identify areas for efficiency in the credit card and cash receipts reconciliation process
• Assist with document and schedule preparation for third-party auditors

Staff Accountant - You Have (Required Skills, Experience):

• You are an Excel guru – multi-tab spreadsheets, complex formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups
• You have experience working in an accounting department (in an accounts receivable, staff accountant, junior accountant, or related role)
• You are excited about a growth path and learning alongside an experienced CPA
• You bring a continuous improvement mindset to identify improvements
• Ability to work in office in Roseville, CA daily

Staff Accountant – You Might Have (Desired, Not Required)

• Experience with credit card transactions in bulk and credit card reconciliations
• Prior experience using SAGE 100 ERP system
• Prior experience with financial statement audits – either performing the audit (public accounting) or supporting preparation of workpapers to provide to third party financial auditors

Staff Accountant – Benefits for You

This is a 100% in office role. Flexible schedule (choose your schedule between 6am and 9am start time).

Your compensation will be $70,000, salary exempt.

Limited to no overtime anticipated. No travel.
