Staff Accountant - PRC Group

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position supports the finance team by managing day-to-day accounting operations, including account reconciliations, financial reporting, and assisting with audits. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and has strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare monthly income statement, actual vs budget variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare and file relevant tax forms and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of financial transactions in compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to improve financial procedures and reporting.
• Provide support for special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
