Staff Accountant - Kimley-Horn

About the Job
Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is looking for a Staff Accountant to join the corporate finance and accounting team in our Raleigh, NC headquarters. We are seeking an energetic individual with strong attention to detail who will act as an integral member of the accounting team. This position will provide support to offices throughout the country. This is an in-office position.
Responsibilities:- Accurately and efficiently complete general ledger account reconciliations
- Review a high volume of transactions for accuracy and reconciliation purposes
- Prepare general ledger journal entries
- Follow detailed written instructions to prepare monthly and annual financial reports
- Research and otherwise assist with ad-hoc special projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other relevant major
- Minimum 2 years of corporate GL/staff accounting experience or equivalent
- Intermediate level proficiency in Excel
- Ability to analyze processes or problems and pursue incremental, stepwise improvement
- Display sound decision-making regarding materiality as it relates to reconciliation discrepancies and other errors
- Seamlessly share responsibilities with teammates
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, seeking to understand the work of others and taking on additional work responsibilities
- Manage workload and stress levels efficiently and professionally
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills
- Deltek Costpoint Accounting Software would be a plus
- GL close / Reconciliation Software
Office hours are 7:30am – 5:30pm Monday – Thursday and 7:30am – 11:30am Friday.
