Staff Accountant at Accentuate Staffing

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable and payable for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Review vendor aging statements against entered purchase orders/work orders and invoices to verify accuracy.
• Perform monthly credit card and bank account reconciliations for approximately 50 accounts.
• Serve as the administrator for fuel cards, managing distribution and usage.
• Post cash receipts for construction draws and issue vendor payments accurately and timely.
• Prepare and post journal entries; manage and maintain the general ledger.
• Handle annual 1099 processing and IRS filing to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Act as the point of contact for audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Provide backup support for payroll functions when necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• 2+ years of applicable accounting experience.
• Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.
• Ability to work independently with strong self-motivation.
