About the Job
The successful candidate will support the daily accounting processes of the company which include duties from accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, account reconciliations. Assist with financial management (multiple budget forecasting, cash flow planning and job profitability) and bookkeeping policies and procedures. Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information. Compile reports to show statistics such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to the operation of the business. Verify, allocate and post details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files. Maintain historical record by filing documents. Enter data to generate invoices, keep track of payments and contact clients for collection, if needed.
Your role:
Responsibilities:
· Accounts payable and receivable.
· Payroll processing .
· Per diem payments.
· Use of PeopleSoft for various accounting functions, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
· Prepare the monthly cash balance.
· Prepare and analyze financial reports, assisting in month end and annual end closing processes in QuickBooks.
· Liaison with external accountant, providing information and documents when required.
· Support internal and external audits providing necessary documentation.
· Ensure compliance with company, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
· Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights and analysis.
· Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records.
· Organize the electronic dossiers for compliance with Brasil policies.
· Manage vendor contracts due dates.
What You Will Do
· Use QuickBooks to perform accounting operations and generate financial reports.
· Execute daily accounting/bookkeeping tasks such as entry and paying bills, receive payments, record deposits, process payroll and per diem payments etc.
· Properly record financial transactions within the established chart of accounts and jobs.
· Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and management reports.
· Reconcile bank statements and other accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
· Participate in the budgeting process, helping to create and monitor financial plans.
· Manage fixed assets, tracking acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
· Collaborate with auditors, providing requested information and supporting documentation.
· Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and applicable accounting standards.
Required qualifications:
· Experienced (Non-Manager) Career Level.
· Minimum 3 years of experience in related areas.
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,Finance or related disciplines.
· Postgraduate degree.
· Experience in QuickBooks, conducting data entry with ability to analyze data.
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and Portuguese are mandatory.
· High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Desired skills & Expertise:
- Acquaintance with General Accounting, QuickBooks, Financial Reporting, Account Reconciliation, Budgeting and Forecasting, Fixed Asset Management and/or Audit Support.
· Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
· Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail with strong follow through skills.
· Professional conduct and discretion always exhibited. Confidentiality agreement/non-disclosure document required.
