Responsibilities:
As a Staff Accountant, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Preparing financial statements and reports, including monthly and annual accounts.
2. Ensuring timely, accurate, and effective financial reporting to support management decision-making.
3. Performing general ledger (GL) duties, including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end closing processes.
4. Preparing income statements, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows.
5. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
6. Ensuring compliance with all internal processes and relevant regulations, and helping to improve and develop our internal controls.
7. Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
8. Collaborating with other departments to improve financial efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
9. Analyzing financial data and providing strategic financial planning advice to the management team.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
3. Proficiency in accounting software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
5. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and comprehensive manner.
7. High level of integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
8. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
