About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Balance sheet account analysis and accuracy of transactions affecting the general ledger, and various distribution journals (shop floor control, inventory control, accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer orders) in a manufacturing environment;
- Periodic financial statements and related schedules;
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of account analyses and reconciliations.
- Timely preparation of journal entries and execution of the periodic closing process.
- Able to effectively compile selective historical data;
- Review and understanding of Periodic Company Sales and Bookings reports;
- Reconciliation of inventories held in-house and on consignment to others.
- Coordination with Payroll Administrator as required.
- Monthly bank statement reconciliations.
- Business sales and use tax reporting for periodic filing with state government agencies.
- Maintaining fixed assets and appropriations schedules in agreement with the general ledger as required.
- Bachelors of Accounting degree from an accredited university.
- Strong sense of ethics, integrity, and accountability.
- Accurate and organized.
- Knowledge of cost accounting functions with experience in a manufacturing environment considered beneficial.
