We are in search of a dynamic Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented individual with exceptional analytical skills and a knack for numbers. This role will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including ADP Payroll, posting journal entries, managing the general ledger, handling accounts payable and accounts reconciliations, analyzing financial reports, financial reporting, forecasting, and utilizing Excel. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for improving financial efficiency, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
2. Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures, providing trends and forecasts, explaining processes and techniques, and recommending actions.
3. Improve financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management.
4. Assist with the management of the general ledger, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
5. Handle accounts payable and accounts reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
6. Manage the ADP payroll system, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
7. Post journal entries and ensure all business transactions are recorded.
8. Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights to aid in decision making.
9. Utilize Excel for various financial reporting and data analysis tasks.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
3. Proficient in ADP Payroll, posting journal entries, managing the general ledger, handling accounts payable and accounts reconciliations.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and create financial reports and forecasts.
5. Proficiency in Excel is required.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
9. Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
