We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Staff Accountant - Payroll to join our team in the technology industry. This is a unique opportunity to apply your skills in accounting and payroll management in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll, ensuring compliance with current laws and regulations, and providing accurate and timely payroll updates to upper management.
Paylocity integration experience is a plus!
This is a hybrid role onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Responsibilities:
1. Perform daily payroll department operations and manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
2. Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
3. Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits.
4. Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance.
5. Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll.
6. Perform compliances for unclaimed property payroll checks.
7. Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc.).
8. Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
9. Process manual check and relocation metric's.
10. Update and reconcile monthly bank statements from ADP.
11. Load import files received from HR (All Companies).
12. Research and email appropriate audience of file issues.
13. Work closely with the HR department to ensure accurate and timely payment to employees.
Qualifications:
1. BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a payroll position.
3. GovCon experience is a must.
4. Experience with Unanet or Costpoint is a plus.
5. Proven experience as a payroll accountant or similar role.
6. Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.
7. Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field.
8. Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and good knowledge of relevant software (e.g. ADP Workforce Now) and databases.
9. Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality.
10. Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail.
11. Excellent communication skills.
