Staff Accountant - RVR Consulting Group

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant with a background in real estate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily financial operations, managing month-end and year-end close processes, maintaining internal controls, preparing for audits, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
What You'll Do:
Financial Operations Management:

• • Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Month-End Close:

• • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Internal Controls:

• • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard the association’s assets.
  • Ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

Audit Preparation:

• • Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits.
  • Provide necessary documentation and respond to audit inquiries.

Process Improvement:

• • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and systems.
  • Implement changes for greater efficiency and accuracy.

 
What You'll Need:

• • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of accounting experience, with a focus on real estate.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Quickbooks, Sage or similar program) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
