Job Details
As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for:
1. Preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
2. Maintaining and balancing subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
3. Summarizing financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
4. Completing internal audits; providing information for external auditors.
5. Avoiding legal challenges by complying with legal requirements, including federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
6. Securing financial information by completing database backups.
7. Maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
8. Contributing to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or CMA designation is preferred but not required.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a staff accountant in a manufacturing environment.
3. Proficiency in GAAP and knowledge of financial reporting.
4. Strong skills in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
5. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
8. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
