Key Responsibilities
Billing
- Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review contracts and agreements to ensure proper billing terms are applied.
- Collaborate with the accounts receivable team to address billing discrepancies and resolve customer inquiries.
- Maintain billing records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to billing, including reconciliations and reporting.
Revenue Recognition
- Analyze and interpret customer contracts for proper revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606).
- Reconcile revenue accounts and ensure accuracy of revenue reporting.
- Prepare monthly journal entries related to revenue recognition.
- Monitor deferred revenue schedules and ensure timely recognition.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve revenue-related issues and improve processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on billing and/or revenue recognition preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with ASC 606 is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
