Staff Accountant - FUJIHATSU & TOYOTSU Battery Components North Carolina, LLC

Overview:

The Staff Accountant will support the company in optimizing its financial transactions and systems. Candidates must be detail-oriented, have a strong ability to multi-task, have strong computer skills, and be able to work well in a team environment. This accountant is expected to provide administrative and clerical support by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, monitoring expenses, and keeping detailed system records for auditing purposes.

Responsibilities:

• Aid in the preparation of financial statements and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions, including journal entries.
• Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Take ownership of the AR, inventory and fixed asset accounting processes
• Document accounting procedures and recommend process improvements
• Assist in implementing internal controls
• Support year-end close process and external audit
• Respond to information requests and assist with financial audits
• Other ad hoc tasks as required by the Controller

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Working knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience with GL accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good analytical, problem-solving and time management skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Skills and qualifications:

• Strong mathematical skills
• Experience working with ERP system(s)
• Between 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
