Staff Accountant - Creative Financial Staffing

• Daily Balancing: Balance and review teller and branch work; ensure accuracy in daily Close of Business processes and notify management of discrepancies.
• Correspondent Bank Accounts: Reconcile and maintain daily bank accounts; manage treasury transactions; prepare month-end reconciliation reports.
• Batch Processing: Perform cross-functional tasks, prioritize work, ensure dual control for critical functions, maintain procedures, and assist with business continuity planning.
• Accounting/Reporting: Maintain accurate accounting records; review accounts payable and audit reports; assist with investments, month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Other Duties: Adhere to policies, analyze accounts for fraud prevention, provide SME support, recommend process improvements, and complete special projects.

Qualifications Staff Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree (Accounting/Finance preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in banking/credit unions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel skills required); Symitar experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, critical thinker with problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
