This full-time, exempt position offers a salary of $55,000 - $65,000 (DOE).
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Staff Accountant will report to the Assistant Controller to ensure accurate and compliant reporting of general ledger and sub-ledger details in adherence to established accounting principles.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Staff Accountant will report to the Assistant Controller to ensure accurate and compliant reporting of general ledger and sub-ledger details in adherence to established accounting principles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure GAAP compliance by maintaining accurate financial records, reporting, and analyses.
- Perform key accounting tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, reserve and forecast analyses, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Manage credit card and banking portals, including user permissions and account oversight.
- Analyze reserves and accruals to maintain accurate financial projections.
- Collaborate on teams and projects to achieve organizational goals.
- Support the manufactured products team in adhering to reporting policies and initiatives.
- Conduct labor and overhead analyses, delivering actionable insights to management.
- Educate operators on product costing and financial reporting to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain the vendor master file for data accuracy and consistency.
- Support the Assistant Controller with various projects and perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Preferred: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Finance or Accounting
0-1 years of experience in accounting
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to work under the pressure of tight deadlines. Must have strong attention to detail.
- Solid foundation in Excel Functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Xlookup, SumIF, etc)
- Ability to use a 10-key calculator, telephone, and be computer literate. Must be proficient in the use of spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Skilled in analyzing data, applying statistical methods, and interpreting graphs and percentages.
- Strong problem-solving and technical interpretation skills for complex variables.
