Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to assist with the accounting and bookkeeping for multiple clients in the Entertainment industry.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of financial statements.
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Enter brokerage/retirement account activity and update values.
- Code out credit card statements between several entities and calculate totals.
- Review general ledger, make adjusting entries, and reconcile accounts.
- Accounts payable
- Process payroll
- Payroll tax returns and sales tax returns
- Annual tax filings (1099’s)
- Prepare tax packages to be presented to outside CPA.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience doing Bookkeeping/Accounting for multiple clients at once.
- Prior experience working at a Business Management firm or CPA/Public Accounting Firm.
- Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Excel and QuickBooks desktop.
- Familiar with inEntertainment software a huge plus.
- Good attention to detail to enter correct data into financial records and recognize errors and the ability to correct them.
- Interpersonal and customer service skills for dealing with clients, vendors, and other employees.
- Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial matters in accessible terms.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
