ABOUT THE ROLE |
This individual is a key member of the finance and accounting team that will support the strategic and operating plans of the company. Working with multiple departments including (but not limited to) operations, projects, and business development. An individual who independently manages themselves and their assigned responsibilities. Individual must be a self-starter who possesses excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently. The individual will provide analysis and management of revenues and costs to maximize profitability through the outlined responsibilities and tasks. The position plays a key role in managing the Finance functions through an attitude of continuous improvement and collaboration with operations. As such is expected to help maintain a professional culture in line with the company’s values and ensure that a positive attitude is embedded within the team on site. This position typically works traditional hours, but occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required to successfully meet customers’ needs. |
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: |
- Financial statement preparation
- Communication with external accountants and business partners
- Month-end and year-end closing schedules
- Balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries
- Rebate & commission accruals
- Prepaid accruals
- Fixed asset roll-forward
- Inventory valuation and COGS reporting
- Long-term deposit maintenance
- Credit card reconciliations
- Payroll accounting and entries
- Freight accruals
- Lease posting, maintenance, and reconciliation
- Ecommerce, freight & other revenue reporting
- Bad debt write-offs
- Expense reporting verification & control
- Accounting process maintenance and improvement
- General A/R, A/P, and collections support
- Other duties and/or projects as required by management
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED: |
- Advanced interpersonal and team building skills

- Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
- Computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office and SAP
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: |
- BS or BA in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in an Accounting related role
- Manufacturing accounting experience preferred
- SAP experience preferred
