Our company is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Permanent Senior Accountant to join our dynamic and fast-paced finance team. This role will be instrumental in driving the financial success of our business by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. We operate within the manufacturing sector, making this an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in this industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and managing month-end close processes.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and potential areas of improvement.
3. Support the month-end close process, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reported on time.
4. Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
5. Participate in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
6. Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
7. Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and recommendations.
8. Conduct regular reconciliation of all accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
9. Maintain and update fixed asset register and perform regular depreciation runs.
10. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong understanding and knowledge of GAAP.
4. Proven experience in financial analysis.
5. Experience in managing the month-end close process.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
8. Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
10. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or working towards it would be an asset.
