About the Job
Vaco is currently seeking an Accountant for a staff role! Medical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and records in compliance with GAAP and healthcare regulations.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and payments.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
- Support budget preparation and financial forecasting efforts.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial management and reporting.
- Assist with audits and prepare necessary documentation as needed.
- Stay current with changes in accounting regulations and healthcare financial practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
