About the Job
HumanHire is partnered with a facility maintenance firm that has been in business for 40+ years in search of a Senior Accountant to join their growing team in Medford, NY.
We are seeking candidates with 4+ years of accounting experience.
What we offer:
- Position: Staff Accountant
- Location: Medford, NY
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9AM-6PM
- Pay: $70,000-80,000 per year
- Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly journal entries and assist with month-end close
- Manage weekly reconciliation of bank activities & credit cards and the monthly reconciliation of GL accounts
- Aid in audits, manage SG&A expenses, prepare check runs, and reconcile daily transactions
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and monitor W-9 verifications
- Prepare and submit supplier credit applications
- Assist with sales and payroll tax research and compliance
Requirements:
- 4+ years of accounting experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
