Staff Accountant

A distribution company located in Mashpee, MA is seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join the finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, reconciling transactions, and supporting the quarterly closing process. This is an in-person position and the company is looking to pay up to $75k on a base, plus bonus, and profit sharing.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Review and assess periodic financial transactions to ensure accurate recording.

• Assist in the quarterly closing process, collaborating with the finance team to ensure a smooth and accurate closing.

• Reconcile bank accounts to verify the accuracy of financial statements.

• Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Work towards optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes through technology solutions.

• Ensure that reports are accurate, timely, and provide valuable insights for decision-making.
   

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Familiarity with accounting software and technology solutions QuickBooks experience is a plus.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
