BOOST is helping our client; Sedna Digital Solutions (Sedna) find a Staff Accountant.
Overview

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Position Summary
This position will oversee project-specific financial management. Manage payables and receivables processes, including contract billings. Apply appropriate accounting standards for revenue recognition. Maintain and track fixed asset records, handle entries and maintain accurate financial data and perform reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies. This role will work with the Procurement team, contract administration and program management.
This role is essential for ensuring financial integrity and supporting mission-critical projects within a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
• Assist with period ending closings, prepare and enter monthly journal entries for month-end close
• Ensure timely reporting of all monthly financial information, timely and accurate processing and entry of vendor invoices
• Contributing to the budgeting process as directed
• Calculate and/or review indirect rates
• Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and any other charges
• Process weekly check runs
• Filing paid vendor vouchers and reconciling vendor statements
• Assist with monthly AP close and processing Payroll
• Prepare and enter monthly Journal Entries for Month-End-Close
• Assist with research and compliance including Government audits
• Support the 1099 reporting process
Required Education
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience in a related filed. An equivalent of 4 years of combined education, professional training or related work experience may be substituted for Bachelor’s requirement.
Required Qualifications
• ERP/Accounting experience
• Proficiency with Costpoint
• Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Proficiency in Microsoft Word
• Knowledgeable in Cost Accounting Standards
Preferred Qualifications
• CPA/Public Accounting Experience
• Experience in Government Contract and cost accounting in all types of contracts (T&M, FFP, CP)
• Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
• Proficiency with Costpoint
• Audit (Internal and External) experience
