Staff Accountant - Robert Half

Description Robert Half is looking for a contract Staff Accountant for our local clients ongoing needs in the area. The selected candidate will play a key role in financial operations, focused on processing accounting information, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring quality and timely financial reporting. Responsibilities: - Accurately prepare and post journal entries in a timely manner. - Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies found. - Actively participate in the month-end close process. - Ensure all accounting operations align with accounting principles and internal controls. - Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reporting for management. - Provide necessary documentation and analysis during audits. - Collaborate with other team members to improve accounting processes and workflows. - Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts as necessary. - Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to accounting. - Use Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to manage and monitor customer accounts. Requirements - Recent and related experience as a Staff Accountant - Well-versed in Bank Reconciliations and Journal Entries - Experience with NetSuite accounting software a plus, but not required - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel - Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines - Knowledge of accounting best practices and regulations Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
