Staff Accountant - Robert Half

Description We are in the process of adding a Staff Accountant to our team located in Lakewood, Washington, United States. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities ranging from processing financial data to generating complex fiscal reports. This opportunity offers a contract to permanent employment situation, allowing for long-term growth within our organization. Responsibilities: - Accurately and systematically maintain ledger accounts. - Reconcile bank and investment accounts routinely. - Develop and implement working procedures to enhance fiscal operations. - Analyze fiscal data and make recommendations for the acceleration of revenue transfers. - Provide management guidance to staff on long-term fiscal cyclic requirements. - Prepare and complete year-end closing procedures. - Assist auditors and provide necessary financial summary information. - Prepare adjusting entries and review trial balances. - Develop internal controls to safeguard the organization's resources and assets. - Provide fiscal support for fundraising events, including registration and check out assistance. - Reconcile fundraising events at the conclusion and verify totals with the team. Requirements - A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role - Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management - Experience with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger maintenance - Knowledge of Journal Entries and Month End Close procedures - Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP - Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail - Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills - Ability to handle confidential information - Solid understanding of financial and accounting procedures - Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
