SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant has wide range of accounting and finance experiences in a manufacturing environment including general ledger, accounts receivable reporting and collections, inventory and standard costing. In addition to the financial responsibilities, the staff accountant also provides business partnership to the Production, Engineering, and Customer Service teams. This is a growth-oriented role that would help prepare you to be a Finance Manager/Plant Controller in the future.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Key contributor to the financial close process including journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and financial analysis
- Administers raw material, WIP, and FG inventory records, reconciliations, and monthly reports
- Updates standard inventory costs as needed.
- Performs financial analysis of results, manufacturing variances, profitability, and projects
- Manages intercompany transactions and prepares monthly reconciliation
- Performs bank reconciliations and ensures reconciled items are cleared
- Uses the Epicor (ERP) system to record accounting transactions and provide financial support to other members of the Management team to assist them in their decision-making processes
- Administers AR collection process, resolves collections by examining customer payment plans and payment history. Facilitates payment of invoices due by sending statements, bill reminders and other documents.
- Performs customer billing and submit invoices to customers
- Performs ad hoc requests and other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training preferably in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Has worked for a manufacturer and has experience with inventory and job costing.
