Staff Accountant - InnVentures

The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance and Assistant Director of Finance in maintaining accurate and timely financial resporting; ensuring acceptable levels of internal control; ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and InnVentures Hotels Standard Operating Procedures; and safeguarding owners/investors assets.

• Review of deposits and nightly sales postings
• Weekly review of accounts payable for expense coding and corresponding check runs
• Reconcile account balances monthly; identifying outstanding items, researching and resolving issues that arise
• Draft monthly financial statements for multiple properties
• Follow-up on outstanding items that come up during financial statement review
• Complete owners and auditors requests for information
• Process credit applications as they arise
• Interact well with immediate team members and hotel personnel

• Basic understanding of accounting (assets and liabilities)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (excel and word)
• Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
• Effective communication skills
• Accounting degree or equivalent experience preferred

Salary Range: $24-28.85/hour
