Join our dynamic finance team as a Staff Accountant! This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with an accounting background to contribute to our company's financial operations. You will play a critical role in ensuring our financial data's accuracy, preparing financial reports, maintaining our general ledger, and participating in budgeting and forecasting activities. This role requires a highly motivated individual who can handle a fast-paced environment and is eager to tackle complex financial challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos, and payment transactions.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts, providing insights into potential risks and opportunities.
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
- Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
- Provide internal and external auditing services for the business, including recommendations for procedural improvements.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial procedures and ensure compliance with regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a staff accountant role.
- Proficient in accounting software, MS Excel, and other business-related software.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and budgeting/forecasting.
- Strong understanding of accounting theory and application of financial principles.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating excellent collaboration skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information in an understandable way.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.
