The Staff Accountant position is responsible for the monthly accounting close cycle. This position must understand the revenue and accounting cycle; perform financial analysis and prepare all areas of the GAAP and management reporting packages.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist with the monthly close process including maintaining close calendars, booking journal entries, and preparing financial statements.
- Assist with budget preparation which will include review of revenues and or expense items.
- Monthly reconciliations and journal entries, with main concentration in cash reconciliation from bank to the general ledger.
- Working with team members internally on cash forecasts.
- Working with FP&A on month-end review processes.
- Grow into an expanded role with other balance sheet areas, such as payroll.
Education and Experience Required:
- BS Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
- 5+ years finance/accounting experience.
- Healthcare experience a plus
