Summary:
Join our dynamic Finance & Accounting team as a Staff Accountant, where you'll play a pivotal role in managing Accounts Payable functions. We're seeking an individual with a strong work ethic, impeccable attention to detail, and a solid grasp of operational accounting and finance principles. Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, with a primary focus on accounts payable, balancing 3 days onsite and 2 days remote after completing a 5-day onsite onboarding process.
- Conduct account reconciliations utilizing the tools available in NetSuite, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with customers and vendors.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of improvements to our accounting procedures.
- Assist in coordinating annual audit documentation and meetings with external auditors.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing company information and trends as requested by management.
- Provide expert insights on accounting and financial matters through thorough research and data interpretation.
- Support the monthly customer billing process, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all invoicing activities.
- Evaluate various business transactions to determine appropriate accounting treatments and propose alternative strategies if needed.
- Perform additional financial functions, including processing expense reports and daily cash reporting, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Corporate Accounting, with a focus on Accounts Payable.
- Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and corporate finance policies and procedures.
- Experience working with NetSuite strongly preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with a high degree of ethics and integrity.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with proactive communication skills and the ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Flexible and adaptable to the dynamic environment of a rapidly growing company.
