Staff Accountant - Summit 7 Systems

Essential Functions:

• Facilitates financial reporting, billing, collections, and budget preparation
• Provides additional administrative support to department

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Maintain and organize customer records
• Maintain and organize vendor records
• Process customer invoices and credit memos
• Process vendor invoices and credit memos
• Manage a weekly collection process: calls and emails while researching, tracking and resolving any issues
• General ledger accounting support
• Assist with federal and state income tax documentation
• Assist with financial audit documentation

• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
• Performs other related duties as necessary as assigned
• Participate in special projects or initiatives, as required

Required Job Specifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• One to Three years or more of related experience

Optional/Desired Qualifications

• Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations
• ServiceNow experience
• Experience supporting team with commercial and government contracts
• Familiarity with IT services contracts and/or products
• Superior communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Work Conditions

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, and computer printer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time. The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and clients.
