Hours: Aligned with The NYSE (NY), 6 AM – 2 PM
Pay: $75,000 - $100,000 or more based on experience. Plus annual plus discretionary annul bonus.

ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
Seeking an experienced accountant for this Staff Accountant/Finance Analyst Role.In this role, you will perform a variety of general accounting duties plus assist in finance analytics for the company.
The ideal candidate should possess a robust accounting and finance background, with specific experience in a financial investment broker-dealer environment. Additionally, knowledge of risk management principles, regulatory compliance, and trade surveillance is highly desirable. Experience with account onboarding processes and financial analysis would also be advantageous.
Accounting Responsibilities:
·Reconciling sub-ledgers to general ledger account balances
·Preparing financial statements, journal entries and account reconciliations
·Assisting with preparation of regulatory filings
·Supporting month-end and year-end close
·Reconciling clearing broker transaction activity and account balances
·Maintaining and reconciling fixed asset and facility lease schedules
·Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and review of risk areas
·Assisting with budget preparation and preparing monthly budget variance analyses
Credit/Finance Analyst Responsibilities:
·Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information.
·Identify and analyze trends and patterns related to credit risk and provide recommendations for mitigating potential risks.
·Financial & Process Analysis: Perform projects involving data and process analysis methods and techniques in support of various departments and business lines.
·Compliance and Operations related projects: As assigned.
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
·3+years of experience in general accounting.
·Familiar with conducting financial analysis within the broker-dealer industry or financial services sector.
·Knowledge of securities regulations, including SEC, FINRA, and margin reporting requirements is a plus.
·Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
·Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
·CPA license preferred but not required
·Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
