Staff Accountant Opportunity – Houston Real Estate Investment Firm

Looking for your next challenge in accounting? A Houston-based Real Estate Investment Firm is seeking a talented Staff Accountant to join their team. Located in the vibrant Westchase area of Houston, this 100% on-site role offers the chance to be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 annually

Location: Westchase, Houston (On-site)

What You'll Do:

• Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Develop and implement processes and controls for financial accuracy
• Lead month-end close for multiple entities, ensuring smooth and timely financial reporting
• Manage bank reconciliations and inter-entity reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries for various financial activities
• Assist in preparing financial statements and meeting with senior accountants for review

What You Bring:

• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Bachelor of Science in Accounting (minimum GPA of 3.2)
• Proficiency with Excel and experience in account analysis
• Experience with AP/AR, invoicing, and general ledger systems (Sage or QuickBooks preferred)
