We are on the hunt for a dynamic, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a keen focus on cost accounting, and a proven track record of managing month-end close processes. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing accounts receivable, and utilizing Microsoft Excel to track and analyze financial data. If you're a team player with a passion for numbers and a desire to drive success within a thriving manufacturing business, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
As a Staff Accountant, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and submitted within set deadlines.
2. Preparing financial statements and reports, providing a clear and accurate picture of the company's financial health.
3. Managing accounts receivable, ensuring all payments are received and properly recorded.
4. Utilizing cost accounting techniques to analyze and report on the costs associated with our manufacturing processes.
5. Using Microsoft Excel to track, analyze, and report on financial data, aiding in strategic decision-making processes.
6. Collaborating with other members of the finance team to ensure all financial operations are running smoothly.
7. Identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the company's financial processes.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
3. Solid experience with month-end close processes, cost accounting, and financial statement preparation.
4. Proficiency in managing accounts receivable.
5. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets.
6. Excellent analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to spot discrepancies in financial data.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial concepts to non-finance team members.
8. A proactive approach, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and take the initiative to implement changes.
9. The ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines without compromising on accuracy.
