Staff Accountant - K2 Claims Services, LLC

STAFF ACCOUNTANT

K2 Claims Services, LLC, a subsidiary of K2 Insurance Services, LLC, is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join its Accounting team at its Harrisburg, PA office.

K2, through its affiliated insurance companies and agencies, continues to expand its product offerings and distribution by developing new insurance programs and increasing the number and geographic diversity of its marketing, sales, underwriting, and support staff.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and communicate account balances with carriers and request funding as needed.

• Process and reconcile daily claims payments.
• Distribute daily, weekly, and monthly claims reports to carriers as requested.
• Reconcile internal system reports to bank reports.
• Assist with annual audit as well as carrier audits.
• Work with the claims and IT teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and cohesion among the various units.
• Support banking needs and process monthly reconciliations.
• Assist with day-to-day accounting transactions, monthly reconciliation, and year end.
• Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Accomplish department and organization mission by completing related projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related major is required.
• 4+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• High ethical and confidentiality standards.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
