Job Details

Responsibilities:

Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions, as well as resolving discrepancies.
Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
Summarize financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
Complete external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
In-depth experience in month-end close and inventory accounting.
Oversee fixed assets, including depreciation schedules.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2+ years of accounting experience with a preference for experience working in manufacturing.
Strong understanding of GAAP.
Proven experience in the month-end close process.
Knowledge and experience in fixed assets and inventory accounting.
Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to direct and supervise.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in accounting software.
