Responsibilities/Primary Duties:
- Perform monthly general ledger journal entries and assists with monthly financial statements and other reporting activities, including fixed asset reconciliation.
- Audit general ledger accounts, including researching and correcting account discrepancies. Ensures accurate and complete accounting records are kept in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Supports month-end and year-end close process.
- Assist Director of Finance with banking and treasury functions.
- Assist Director of Finance with accounts payable review and approvals.
- Assist Director of Finance with preparing revenue/expense projections.
- Assist Director of Finance with maintaining and calculation of shareholder compensation.
- Assist Human Resources Manager with payroll processing.
- Process client invoicing, including electronic third-party platforms and email and print distribution.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
- Back up resource for daily cash receipts in accounting and banking systems.
- Back up resource for accounts payable functions.
- Special projects and reports as assigned.
- Assist with overflow work and perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Relevant skills and qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting roles and knowledge of current Finance industry standards and best practices.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
