Position Overview
Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team in Arizona. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, handling various accounting responsibilities using Great Plains software.
Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Handle Accounts Receivable, ensuring prompt collection and accurate recording of all receivables.
- Process payroll for 48 employees using the Assure system, formerly known as Wells Fargo.
- Prepare and post Journal Entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Maintain the General Ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
- Perform Account Reconciliations to ensure all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are addressed.
- Prepare Trial Balance reports to assist with monthly and yearly financial closing.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using Great Plains accounting software.
- Experience in managing accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Strong understanding of payroll processing, particularly with Assure system.
- Ability to accurately prepare and post journal entries.
- Experience in maintaining a general ledger and preparing trial balances.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Additional Details
Salary Range: $70,000 - $76,960 per year
