We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join a 35-year-old specialty manufacturing company with up to 600mm in revenue and an exceptional leadership team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in technical accounting principles and practices, excellent communication and analytical skills, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and food manufacturing experience.
Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Fresno, CA
Job Type: Full-time. (On-Site)
Work Schedule: M-F. 8am. – 5pm.
Pay Rate and Benefits: 60-75k annually. Outstanding benefit packages include 401k employer matching, Paid Time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, and company paid life insurance.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, general ledger accounts, and bank reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas of improvement.
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to resolve any accounting-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Participate in the annual audit process and ensure audit requirements are met.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
- Microsoft Excel experience mandatory
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions
