Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Fremont, CA, within the manufacturing industry. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for a professional who excels in payroll processing, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR) management. Proficiency in Sage software is strongly preferred, and fluency in Spanish is highly desirable to support our diverse workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
- Accurately process payroll for up to 70 employees on a bi-weekly basis.
- Maintain payroll systems, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with HR to address employee inquiries related to payroll.
Accounts Payable (AP) Management:
- Process vendor invoices, verify payment terms, and ensure timely payments.
- Reconcile AP accounts and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
Accounts Receivable (AR) Management:
- Prepare and issue customer invoices, track payments, and manage collections.
- Reconcile AR accounts and resolve outstanding balances.
Accounting Support:
- Assist with general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close activities.
- Prepare financial reports and support audits as needed.
Software and Systems Expertise:
- Utilize Sage software for accounting and financial management (strongly preferred).
- Leverage payroll
