The Opportunity
Join our Finance team where you will support accounts payable, invoicing and corporate collections, month end close process, and special projects.
The Team
You will report to our Principal Accountant and work collaboratively with a small team of 3-5 finance professionals. You will also work with our vendors, clients, and internal departments both in person and virtually.
The Environment
This is an office-based role in our Folsom, CA headquarter location. You will work primarily onsite in a controlled office environment. This role provides hybrid flexibility for up to two remote work days per week.

Your Key Contributions
- Sets up new vendors and maintains vendor records in the accounting system. Performs trade credit background checks for new vendors. Handles vendor inquiries and problem resolution.
- Receives, enters, and posts vendor bills. Anticipates bills and follows up with vendors for missing/late invoices.
- Heavy Accounts Payable, including monitoring of aging and employee expense reports, pays bills via weekly check runs, EFT and credit cards.
- Ensure compliance with purchase orders, travel and business expense policies
- File and pay all commercial and sales taxes; manages the annual 1099 process.
- Prepare, send, and post customer invoices, including use of several customer invoicing portals
- Communicate with internal teams to ensure invoices are sent out promptly
- Accounts receivable, including monitoring of aging reports and follow up with customers for past due balances
- Set up and maintain customer records, projects, and sales orders in the accounting system
- Prepare and send lien waivers
- Post activity and reconcile monthly statements for bank deposit, loan accounts, and credit cards.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Module (FAM) in NetSuite (fixed/intangible, disposals and posting of monthly depreciation/amortization expense).
- Analyze and posts journal entries (payroll, direct & indirect cost allocations, prepaids and deposits, and other accrual accounting transactions).
- Month end GL reconciliation for assigned accounts
- Assist Controller with year-end audit, annual budgeting and other financial planning exercises
- Maintain documented procedures
Traits for Success
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent years of experience
- 2+ years of experience working in accounting
- Knowledge of accrual accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Understanding of revenue recognition rules
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong organizational and accuracy skills
- BONUS: Experience working with NetSuite ERP
- BONUS: Experience in project-based accounting

Pay Transparency
This announcement is open to the Associate through level I. The base pay range for this position is $65,000-85,000/annual salary. This is an overtime Exempt position. Compensation is based on market rate, job level, job related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and certifications. This is a Full Time opportunity.
