Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
- Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
- Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
- Report to management regarding the finances of the establishment.
- Conduct internal audits to check financial status and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Strong understanding and experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial statements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, and accounting software.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
- Strong analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for preparing reports and communicating with colleagues, management, and business partners.
- Proactive problem solver with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
