This role actively participates in the monthly and quarterly close processes, with a strong focus on accounting for revenue-generating agreements. Responsibilities include preparing and analyzing various expense and balance sheet account analyses. Interaction and collaboration with Accounting & Finance teams, senior leadership, and other business personnel are crucial for preparing schedules, presenting results, and accurately accounting for transactions.
This position provides exposure to a variety of unique and high-volume transactions, allowing the individual to contribute significantly to interpreting and accurately accounting for financial transactions resulting from various collaboration agreements. With ongoing global expansion, this role is essential in a growing and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare various expense schedules and reconcile balance sheets.
- Work closely with the Finance team to ensure accruals and reclassifications are accurate and complete.
- Conduct fluctuation analyses and prepare reports for management.
- Create journal entries, supporting schedules, and account analyses.
- Perform quarterly reconciliation of accounts receivable with the Finance team.
- Collaborate with the operations and supply chain accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting on inventory transactions and calculate related revenue and reimbursements.
- Understand and interpret complex agreements, including revenue recognition calculations for profit-sharing and expense reimbursements from partners.
- Participate in monthly and quarterly meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting controls and update related documents to meet regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audit requests as necessary.
- Assist various departments within the organization with specific requests or initiatives related to the accounting area.
- Contribute to special projects, analyses, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 2-4 years of relevant experience in the field.
- In-depth understanding of technical accounting principles and their practical application.
- Experience with financial software is advantageous.
- CPA candidacy is desirable.
- Familiarity with Oracle is beneficial.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships across the organization.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas.
- Strong commitment to teamwork and achieving team excellence.
