Job Description: Staff Accountant

Location: Downtown Denver
Schedule: In office Monday to Wednesday
Compensation: $70k-$90k plus bonus

Staff Accountant Role Overview: Join a close-knit, collaborative team within a small branch of an international company. The team boasts great longevity, with the controller serving for 17 years. This Staff Accountant position is ideal for someone who thrives in a small team environment and is comfortable with a variety of responsibilities.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

• Maintain AP and AR
• Process and maintain payroll for US and Canadian employees
• Account reconciliations
• Prepare and file reports with respective tax authorities
• Assist the accounting team with various quarter-end and year-end close activities
• Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance activities
• Prepare job process documentation and facilitate cross-training

Required Staff Accountant Qualifications:

• Respectful and collaborative personality
• Experience in a larger company with the capability to manage small company processes
• Familiarity with multi-entity reporting is a plus
• Proficiency in the following systems is a plus: NetSuite, Concur, Paylocity, and ADP
• Comfortable handling international company transactions, including foreign currency and multi-entity reporting
• Ability to manage payroll for US employees, including stock compensation, vesting dates, and taxes
