ABOUT STAFF ACCOUNTANT:
Our client, a leader in the mining industry is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team!

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT:

• Maintain A/P, Fixed Asset and Banking modules within NetSuite
• Process and maintain payroll for US (Paylocity) and Canada (ADP) employees
• Process and record all A/P, A/R, Fixed Asset and Banking transactions, including respective account reconciliations
• Prepare and file reports with the respective tax authorities (i.e. sales and use tax, year end 1099s, jurisdictional surveys)
• Assist accounting team with various quarter end and year end close activities
• Assist accounting team with various Sarbanes-Oxley compliance activities
• Assist accounting team with annual budget preparation and quarterly budget reporting
• Assist accounting team with Royalty Monitoring Program, specifically desk reviews/recalculations
• Perform various office administrative duties as needed

CURRENT PROJECTS FOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT:

• Implementation of FloQast close management software for the accounting department
• Preparation of job process documentation and cross-training

CURRENT SOFTWARE:

• NetSuite (AP, Fixed Assets, AR, GL)
• Vena (CPM, corporate reporting, budgeting and forecasting software)
• Box (ECM, corporate content management software)
• SAP Concur (corporate expense reporting software)
• Paylocity (US payroll)
• ADP (Canada payroll)
• CashPro Online (Bank of America), BMO, CIBC, Scotia, TD
