Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key point of contact for multi-location communication regarding payment and approval processes.
- Take ownership of daily vendor communication, ensuring timely responses and resolution of inquiries.
- Set up new vendors in NetSuite and maintain up-to-date vendor master data.
- Update weekly financial schedules for the management team, providing insights and actionable data.
- Process electronic payments with precision and care.
- Prepare month-end journal entries with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.
- Oversee the annual 1099 filings, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Create and refine standard operating procedures to ensure streamlined workflows.
- Actively seek opportunities to improve and automate accounting processes, leveraging technology to increase productivity.
- Cross-train with team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth and development.
- Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives, bringing your expertise to a variety of tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- ABachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least two years of experience as a staff accountant or in accounts payable.
- A proactive, hands-on mentality and a desire to contribute to the team’s success.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and a solid understanding of financial reporting.
- Intermediate Excelskills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP is a plus!
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills with an exceptional attention to detail.
