Are you ready to take your accounting skills to the next level? We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Permanent Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is an incredible opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their expertise in financial reporting, account reconciliation, general ledger, financial accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial analysis, tax preparation, and forecasting.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Staff Accountant, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including:
1. Overseeing and managing the general ledger.
2. Conducting complex financial analysis to determine present and future performance.
3. Documenting and updating accounting policies, procedures, and processes.
4. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
5. Performing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
6. Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
7. Assisting with tax preparation and forecasting activities.
8. Ensuring compliance with all internal controls and established policies.
9. Collaborating with the finance team to improve financial procedures.
10. Participating in budgeting processes and financial planning.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in financial reporting, account reconciliation, general ledger, financial accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial analysis, tax preparation, and forecasting.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
5. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
6. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
7. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on data.
8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. A professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is a plus.
