IronRoad is conducting a confidential search for a Junior Accountant for our Cincinnati, Ohio client. We are looking for a talented, driven Junior Accountant to join our client's growing team. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal team members to handle day-to-day accounting functions necessary to support a fast-paced company. Preferred candidates will possess an associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience, 2-5 years of accounting to meet the needs of this fast-paced, highly detailed position where confidentiality is key. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable, Data entry and coding invoices
- Payroll processing for clients including time entry, payroll changes, balancing, and finalizing payroll processes.
- Assisting Tax Manager with daily, quarterly, and year-end processes including online tax filings, payments, and research.
- Recording daily tax and cash payments including client payments, accounts payable invoice, and tax payments.
- Record and reconcile monthly accounting journal entries and maintain general ledger for assigned accounts with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Post journal entries and analyze general ledger accounts.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
- Work with various groups and functions and facilitate continuous process improvement.
- Initiate electronic and check payments in accordance with company procedures.
- Reconcile high-volume bank account activity daily.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
- Backup for other positions as needed.
- Assists CFO in special projects, as needed.
Position Requirements:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills; communicate professionally with our clients internal customers, as well as external bankers, auditors, tax accountants, and insurance professionals.
- Experienced in problem-solving with ability to recognize issues and deal with them directly.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college and/or three years of accounting experience.
- Experience with Sage Intacct or payroll is a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Hybrid work model 2 days in the office. Training will be in the office for the first two weeks.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year based on skills and experience determined by the hiring manager
